About Socks

This is the mission of the About Srl company that organized the ABOUT SOCKS award, addressed to young designers of the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts who have
presented 5 designs of socks, entirely designed with Filoscozia® yarn. The yarns have been made available by Filmar for the production of 100 pairs of
socks by the winner. Part of the revenue from the sales will be allocated to the IOM Oncology Insitutute. On May 18th, the award ceremony has been an important event of sharing and dialogue between the actors involved in the initiative who awarded the 1st prize to Antonino Tuccio for his Braille project while for the 2nd and 3rd place, the jury has selected the ideas of the students Marta Luitprandi and Agnese Mingozzi. The socks of the finalists have been exhibited at Pitti Filati 85 at the Filmar stand in a space entirely dedicated to these precious products combining talents, excellence of raw material and an important cause, such as the oncological research.
