Processing
Undergoing a complex processing cycle, FILOSCOZIA® strengthens its natural features as a noble yarn.
TWISTING
Twisting at 2 or more plies gives strength and roundness to the yarn.
GASSED
With the gassed the flame eliminates the unnecessary hairness of the fibres. The yarn, thus smoothed, acquires lustre, uniformity and resistance to pilling.
REELING
The yarn cones are prepared for mercerization, by creating bundles. This process is called reeling.
MERCERIZATION
Mercerization can be considered as a chemical - physical treatment which confers to fibers resistance, non-shrink qualities, brilliance and a better absorption great. The quality of both the raw material and its processing produce a yarn with a greater color yield and more intense, shiny hues, with the use of same dyeingstuff.
CERTIFIED DYEING
Filoscozia® is dyed using only colors and additives that meet the human-ecological requirements set by Oeko-Tex Standard 100, Class 1 (baby products). The water used in processing is purified, tested and recycled. The entire production cycle meets the standards of EU legislation on healthy textiles destined for people. It also has reduced environmental impact.
WINDING OFF
Winding off the yarn makes it adaptable to any kind of subsequent weaving and stain removal, to high speeds and more complex processes. The result is a fine, strong and long lasting yarn. The result is an excellence in the aspects and the performances of the final products.
